Favorites
Find a partner when the whistle blows and get to know each other.
- 
      
        
          
        
      
      Create a boundary with four cones that is big enough for the team to run around safely. 
- 
      
        
      
      - 4 Cones 
- Whistle (or attention getter) 
 
- 
      
        
      
      To learn at least 3 of your teammates’ names and one of their favorite things. 
- 
      
        
      
      - Spread out-Walk around this area. Stay within the cones. 
- When I blow my whistle (or say attention getter) You will turn to me and respond _________(coach choice) 
- Practice this 3-4 times. When they get it right have the whole team give 2 good claps together. 
- Blow Whistle: “Walk around and when I blow my whistle find a partner and tell them your name and your Favorite food.” - -Players walk, Blow Whistle, and Wait for about 15-30 seconds for students to talk. 
- Find a New partner and tell them your favorite show/movie, etc. 
- Repeat until the team has met/talked to at least 5 other people.

      - Have students run instead of walk. 
- Stop and ask a pair to share out what they learned. 
- Speed up the whistle blow and movement to challenge students.

      - Join the game during the “Favorites” Section so you can get to know players. 
- Choose and Attention Getter that suits your personality/Coaching Style 
- Make sure to follow through with your expectation before you move on “Silent and Listening” 
 
Reflection: Relationship Skills
Relationship building is when we connect with others.
1. Why is learning each other’s names good to build relationships?
-respectful to use someone's name, we feel important, it helps us build friendships
2. Who can tell us one of your teammate's favorite foods? Favorite show/movie? How will that help you be a better teammate?
-we can find out what we have in common, we can learn what they like/dislike
